"In a related development, a recent white paper by Infologics, Inc. and VIP, Ltd., Inc. discusses the concept of Information Assets Management, noting that the traditional applications of records management, document management and workflow all control business documents for some period of their life cycle. By creating a new model based around the total control offered by records management techniques, and tying the documents to the business' chart-of-accounts, all corporate information can be controlled from creation to destruction. The formerly separate process of document management and workflow can be more efficiently and reliably handled under the control of the new all-encompassing application".
